Background
Bent Tree Software programs were first introduced in 1980 and the firm was incorporated in 1990 in Palm Coast, Florida. The author, Carl G. (Bud) Hooper was a Professional Engineer registered in several states and started development of these programs to fill a void in the then current software offerings related to various types of mortgages and personal finance matters.
The first programs developed were LoanAmor- a loan amortization program, and MaxMortgage- a home loan qualifier. Other programs followed as friends and customers indicated a need for a certain type program. New programs will be added as customers request a specific program that will have broad acceptance.
